The short version

There are no accounts, no forms and no server-side database of anything you type. Every calculation runs in your browser.

What you type stays in your browser

Prices, costs and sales figures you enter into the calculator are processed on your device by JavaScript. They are never sent to us and we could not retrieve them if we wanted to. Reloading the page clears them; nothing is written to local storage.

Analytics

When analytics is enabled on this site, it uses two services: Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic statistics, and Microsoft Clarity for aggregate session analytics. Clarity records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — and may capture on-page text. Neither is used to identify you, and neither receives what you type into the calculator fields.

These services set cookies and are operated by Google and Microsoft under their own privacy terms. You can block them with any content blocker or by disabling JavaScript; the calculator itself needs JavaScript, but the reference tables on the rates page do not.

If you are in the EEA or UK, the lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in understanding how the tool is used. You can object by blocking the scripts.

Server logs

The site is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security and abuse prevention, retained for a short period under their policy. We do not build profiles from them.

Advertising

This site currently shows no advertising. If that changes, this page will be updated before any ad code is deployed, and the change will be described here rather than implied.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is usually nothing to export or delete. If you believe we hold something, write to hello@whatnotfee.com and we will answer within 30 days.
